For those interested in an overview of the area, Historic Richmond Tours begins its tours at the Richmond Region Visitor Center, located on the first floor of the Exhibit Hall building. The Visitor Center is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Visitor Center is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. SecurityIn addition to providing general facility security, we provide all event security and staffing services. These services are exclusive and include security guards, ushers, ticket takers, ticket sellers, door monitors, badge checkers as well as City of Richmond Off Duty Police, Fire and Emergency Services personnel, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s). Rates can be found on our Labor, Services and Equipment Rate Sheet. You are responsible for providing security for the licensed areas from the time of initial occupancy until completion of move-out. This includes exhibit halls, ballrooms, meeting rooms, registration areas and applicable pre-function areas, as well as loading docks being used by you, your exhibitors and/or attendees. Your Event Manager, in conjunction with our Director of Safety and Security, will work with you in developing a comprehensive security plan specific to your event.
